Sustainability Policy

We have started to make steps to becoming increasingly sustainable for you and the planet without compromising salon standards. Energy-saving light bulbs, removing the tumble dryer, recycling and offering plant-based beauty and nail treatments are just the first steps to going green.

We are proud to be the only Hayling Island member of The Green Salon Collective (TGSC). Our used foil, hairspray cans and colour tubes all get saved and recycled. We even recycle your hair! All hair cuttings are recycled into hair booms, which are used to soak up oil spills in our oceans.

All of this work reduces our refuse and helps the environment by sending less by-products to landfills. For every box we return, THSC plants a tree on our behalf. Our disposable towels from Scrummi biodegrade in the same amount of time as an orange peel. These make a great material in your home compost bin or can be used as a cleaning cloth. If you would like to take your towel home to try it for yourself, just ask!
